Hello dear reader
I have been reading more books this year and I am loving it. Where I can I will buy a physical book, although occassionally I will borrow them from the library or read on my library app (Libby) using my iPad.
Here are my most recently read books:
The Walking Cure by Annabel Streets
This author guides the reader through the benefits of walking in different environments and the reasons why they are beneficial. From coastal walks, to city walks, from open countryside to forests. Rivers, lakes and canals are great places to walk alongside and Annabel Streets shows how each environment has a different effect on the walker. It’s well worth reading.
Careless People by Sarah Wynn-Williams
Sarah really wanted to work for Facebook and help make it a place for good. Her book relates her experience in getting to work for Facebook and what it was like. She learned what motivates Mark Zuckerberg and those closest to him in the business. She writes how Facebook changed over the years and the contempt the business has for its responsibility in the world. Zuckerberg and the powers at Facebook are not happy about this book.
Read it and decide if you still want a Facebook account!
ps I closed my Facebook and Instagram accounts down quite a while ago. I am so pleased that I did.
Humble Pi by Matt Parker
The subtitle for this book is, ‘A comedy of Maths Errors’.
Matt Parker shows how maths errors have brought serious consequences in many fields; aviation, construction, medicine and more, and how those errors happened. It is eye-opening and at the same time slightly worrying that all that might seperate us from disaster are a few numbers incorrectly tapped into a calculator.
Let me know what books you have been reading. I am always delighted to hear of recommendations. I am into factual books rather than fiction. History, and nature are my favourite subjects but do tag in others such as the book, Humble Pi.

I will defo be reading the Facebook one. I use it to store my photos in neat little albums! Plus I can make them private so no-one else can see them. So it does have at least one benefit?!
