When I film one of my walks, I like to give you the whole experience. There are times that I can miss out on some sections, depending on the area I am filming and the theme of the video. In this video, I have filmed it in real-time so that you can follow the whole of the walk.
We start at Lacock at the top of Nethercote Hill. You can find this lane opposite the entrance to the church. Please don’t miss this area out when you’re in Lacock as there is a lovely old 18th-century bridge and ford crossing to traverse the Bydebrook.
Reybridge is a very tiny hamlet and became well known in media circles as Camilla Parker-Bowles lived here until she became the wife of Prince Charles. Join me as we look at some of the lovely old cottages here and another 18th-century packhorse bridge crossing the River Avon.
From Reybridge, we head towards Bewley Common, and here I can tell you something about a fascinating story going back to 1706. It was a dispute between two wealthy men and the cutting down of trees on the common. Tune in to the video and enjoy!
