My home office is usually a quiet place, just me, my keyboard, notebooks and other writing essentials. However, surprisingly, I am able to share some stories with you from happenings in my little writing and study sanctuary. Here’s an amusing one.
Earlier this past December, my daughter and family visited for a week. My five-year-old grandson Albie loves to entertain himself by visiting my office. He sits in the swivel chair, spins around and declares, “I’m the boss!”
One evening, I decided to keep him occupied by helping me cut A4 sheets into pages for my Personal Filofax. I have a paper trimmer and showing him how to use it amused him.
While working with the paper trimmer, I misjudged the area to cut and before I could readjust, Albie exclaimed, “You’re not the mechanic you thought you were!”
His playful remarks never fail to make me laugh. There’s never a dull moment when he’s around.
