Great piece Roland and it brought back a memory of the early 1960s when learning to write at school. The preference was for pupils to use an ink pen, either dipping (still the days of ink pots in desks and the ink monitor) or for those who had them, fountain pens. However some children asked if they could use ballpoints to which the teacher would agree after testing that the ink ran smoothly and didn't 'blot' the paper while being used. Something you would never see now but back then I guess production processes weren't perfect for cheaper ballpoints.
The Bic Crystal with blue ink is my most-used pen for general purposes. At school and college, I used a wider variety of pens.
The Bic is trusty and cheap to buy.

Thank you, Harry. I love pens!
