I want to thank you for being a subscriber to Roland’s Travels and Notebook. I hope you’re enjoying the content. I am busy writing much more and you will see the results in your inbox and on the website each week. More podcasts are also in the planning stage and will be available on my website, or on the many platforms such as Spotify and Apple.

It’s wonderful to be able to bring you stories of the places I visit, and now in my new Notebook section, share ways to see how we can get more out of life with less digital use. There may be a few other non-travel stories occasionally dropped in. You can, if you wish, unsubscribe from the Notes section and still remain a subscriber to receive my travel emails.

Recently, I turned on the paid subscription option on the website. However, please note: ALL my regular stories will always be free. If, though, you would like to support what I do with a paid subscription it will be truly valued. This will enable me to cover some of the costs involved and to make it possible to continue to provide stories and podcasts for you.

I will add some benefits, especially as the number of paid subscribers increases, to honour your additional support. These include a look behind the scenes, special chats/videos and livestreams.

For my current subscribers, and many of you have been with me for several years, I would like to offer you a permanent 50% off the subscription price. So £2.50 a month or £25 a year would be your contribution. You can stop at anytime, although if renewed after cancelling the discount would be lost. The offer ends on December 7th 2025.

Please, do not feel under any pressure to become a paid subscriber. Reading, sharing, commenting and liking all show your support and help many more to find Roland’s Travels & Notebook.
